purpose of the Senior Network Engineer position is responsible for
the technical design, administration, planning, implementation, and
the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for
the enterprise network. The Senior Network Engineer recommends the
redesign and configuration of the LAN / WAN, and its components.
Identifies issues and provides solutions in order to provide a high
level of service to our customers.Outcomes and Activities:
- This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to
an assigned Southfield, Michigan office location may be required.
However, this position is permitted to work at a Southfield,
Michigan office location if requested by the team member.
- Designs and implements the enterprise network and ensures HA
and availability across sites and applications.
- Develops disaster recovery processes and procedures.
- Monitors the network to ensure optimal performance and
identifies opportunities for enhancement.
- Complete assigned work with minimal supervision and
guidance.
- Provide mentorship to less experienced team members.
- Maintains accurate documentation of network diagrams and
processes.
- Maintains the integrity and security of wireless network.
- Monitor and manage the data center environment, including UPS,
PDU, HVAC, etc.
- Supports other IT and business teams with projects and
incidents.
- Identifies, and recommends solutions to enhance the network and
the service to our customers.Competencies: The following items

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or
closely related field of study; or equivalent work experience
- 5 + years' experience in Network Administration
- CCNP Route/Switch or equivalent work experience
- Expert in Palo Alto Firewalls and Zscaler
- Expert in AWS, Azure and how to connect enterprise networks to
cloud services
- F5-BigIP or other enterprise load balancer experience Expert in
Automation
- Experience programming F5 irules or programming in TCL
- Expert in Automation platforms such as Ansible Automation
Platform, VMWare Aria Operations, or Powershell/Python
- Expert in installation, maintenance, optimization and security
of Cisco IOS, NX-OS operating systems
- Experience with Advanced routing protocols (strong in BGP) and
Multilayer Switching
- Participation in an On-Call rotation with availability to
respond to security issues & urgent requests that occur outside
normal work hoursPreferred Experience:
- Experience with Shell/Bash, Python or other popular
languages
- VWMare NSX, Cisco ACI, or OpenStack experience
- Enterprise wireless experience
- Experience automating network and firewall processes and
changesTarget Compensation: A competitive base salary + an annual
variable cash bonus will range from $81,333 to $123,451.Final
compensation within the range is influenced by many factors
including role-specific skills, depth and experience level,
industry background, relevant education and certifications, and
